Renovation of a high-rise apartment in Tokyo. The living room was designed to be compact, with sofas that can be easily moved by children, and the layout can be easily changed according to the mood of the moment or as the children grow older.
The common corridor from the elevator exit to the entrance is quite dark and contrasts too much with the brightness of the corner living/dining room. Therefore, we designed the entrance and corridor to express a space with a neutral color by using plastered wood and a narrow light.
